AlexWorks Terms of Service
Effective October 7, 2026. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of AlexWorks websites, applications, browser extensions, and related services operated by Alex Couture ("AlexWorks", "we", "us", or "our"). By using an AlexWorks product, you agree to these Terms.
1. AlexWorks products
AlexWorks is a family of small internet products. Individual products may have their own descriptions, privacy disclosures, pricing, or additional terms. If product-specific terms conflict with these Terms, the product-specific terms control for that product.
2. Accounts and Google-connected services
Some AlexWorks products let you sign in with Google or authorize access to Google services. You are responsible for maintaining control of your account and for activity performed through it.
When a product requests Google permissions, it may use only the permissions presented during the authorization flow and only for the product functionality described to you. You may revoke Google access at any time through Google Account Connections. Revoking access may disable features that depend on that authorization.
Use of information received from Google APIs is also subject to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
3. Acceptable use
You may use AlexWorks products only for lawful purposes. You must not attempt to misuse, disrupt, reverse-engineer where prohibited by law, overload, exploit, or gain unauthorized access to an AlexWorks service or another person's account or data.
You must not use an AlexWorks product to violate another person's rights, applicable law, or the terms of a third-party service connected to that product.
4. Your data and privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in the AlexWorks Privacy page and any product-specific privacy policy linked from the relevant product. Different AlexWorks products have different data flows, so review the policy that applies to the product you use.
5. Third-party services
AlexWorks products may depend on third-party services such as Google, GitHub, Cloudflare, payment providers, or other APIs. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for outages, changes, restrictions, or actions of third-party services outside our control.
6. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, AlexWorks owns or licenses the product names, branding, website content, and software provided through its services. Open-source components and repositories remain subject to their applicable licenses. These Terms do not override an open-source license that grants you additional rights.
7. Availability and changes
We may change, suspend, discontinue, or update a product or feature at any time. We do not guarantee that every service will always be available, error-free, or compatible with every browser, device, API, or third-party platform.
8. Paid services
If a product offers paid features, the price and billing terms shown at purchase apply. Unless required by law or stated otherwise at purchase, fees already paid are non-refundable once the relevant service has been provided. We may change future pricing with notice through the applicable product or checkout flow.
9. Disclaimer
AlexWorks products are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not make warranties that a product will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for every particular purpose.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AlexWorks and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, business, or opportunities arising from use of or inability to use an AlexWorks product. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Termination
You may stop using an AlexWorks product at any time. We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, enforce these Terms, prevent abuse, or discontinue a service.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as AlexWorks products evolve. The current version will remain publicly available on this page with its effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and any applicable provincial laws, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live are not waived by these Terms.
